MITIGATION MANAGER

OVERVIEW

The Mitigation Manager (MM) is the operational leader of their branch, responsible for the performance, accuracy, and profitability of all mitigation services  including water, mold, abatement, and fire-related projects.
They ensure every job meets company standards for documentation, safety, and customer satisfaction, while leading a disciplined team of Project Managers and Technicians.

  • Oversee all mitigation projects (water, mold, abatement, and fire).
  • Ensure strict compliance with IICRC, OSHA, and EPA standards.
  • Review scopes, drying logs, and project documentation for accuracy.
  • Verify equipment setup, monitoring, and takedown are performed per protocol.
  • Audit and approve job files for billing readiness within 2 business days of equipment pickup.
  • Maintain organized inventory and equipment maintenance schedules.

  • Lead, train, and hold accountable all Project Managers and Technicians.
  • Conduct weekly meetings focused on safety, production efficiency, and compliance.
  • Perform on-site audits and job evaluations to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Support onboarding and continuous development for all field staff.

  • Personally oversee complex or high-profile jobs to ensure flawless execution.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly before they result in negative reviews.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the mitigation process.
  • Ensure each completed job meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations.

  • Review all job files within JobNimbus (or current CRM) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Update job status to “MGR Reviewed/Ready to Bill” once file is verified.
  • Monitor daily metrics: job cycle times, file errors, and completion rates.
  • Ensure all required forms, photos, and logs are uploaded before reconciliation deadlines.

(KPI's) WEEKLY BENCHMARKS

  • LIMIT overtime to 3 hours or less per employee per week
    • BENCHMARK ≤ 3 hours


  • Final Job Audit Form submitted error-free within 24 hours of equipment pickup 
    • BENCHMARK ≥ 90% of jobs


  • All job files submitted to Billing within 2 business days of equipment pickup 
    • BENCHMARK 100%


  • “MGR Reviewed/Ready to Bill” status updated after verification
    • BENCHMARK 100%


  • Resolve complaints and maintain high customer satisfaction
    • BENCHMARK ≥ 4.5 stars


  • Generate new 4–5 star reviews across all platforms
  • BENCHMARK ≥ 5 Monthly


  • PMs earn a minimum of 85% of available PM bonuses
    • BENCHMARK ≥ 85%


  • All job forms completed by reconciliation date
    • BENCHMARK 100%
